Küresel politikada güncel olayları takip etmek, daha da önemlisi onları anlamlandırmak çoğu zaman güç olmaktadır. Bu güçlüğü aşmanın en basit yollarından biri ise ilgili konferansları takip etmektir.
Çevrimiçi ortama aktarılmış konferanslar veya etkinlikler kendi alanında tanınmış akademisyenlerin veya araştırmacıların düşüncelerini takip etmeye olanak sağlamaktadır. Buradaki zorluk ise tartışmaları belirli bir bütünlük içinde izleyememektir.
Çok az üniversite bu konulara önem vermiştir. Muhtemelen herkesin kabul edeceği üzere LSE bu konuda öne çıkan üniversitelerden biridir ve son on yıla ait iklim değişikliği vs. olmak üzere birçok etkinliğini çevrimiçi ortamda paylaşmaktadır.
Başta çevre çalışmalarına ilişkin araştırma alanını genişlendirmek ve yukarıda sözü edilen eksiklikleri gidermek için bu liste hazırlanmıştır. Listede LSE tarafından yayınlanmış ve iklim değişikliği üzerine olan son on iki yıla ait tüm etkinlikler yer almaktadır.
